Bobby Brown

MS Student

Bobby is a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2017. He has worked extensively in the mountain bike industry, developing hydraulic suspension dampers, a linkage-driven front suspension system, and other performance-oriented components. After working at MTS Systems during his undergraduate studies, he has since developed several automated mechanical testing machines for component validation and wear characterization. This led him to pursue machine design and controls in his graduate studies. Current area of research is in the implementation of a novel hybrid hydraulic electric architecture in off-highway vehicles.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, mountain biking, camping, and various combinations of the three.
